My youngest turned 4 last month.  I can not believe she is 4!!

Months before her birthday, we were in Shaw’s and she saw a princess cake and she said that was what she wanted for her birthday.   And she never forgot that!  So when it came time to plan her party, I asked her what theme she wanted and she said she wanted that Princess cake that she saw with the 3 princess’s on it and she wanted a Tangled themed party.  Sounded great to me!

So I was very excited when iParty offered to give me a gift card to make her party the best it could be!  And so was she.

I was very impressed with the selection of items at iParty for her party.  I was able to get all the Tangled items I needed along with some fun things for their Easter Egg hunt.   Since her birthday was on Easter, and  her party was the day before we decided to have an egg hunt, and it was a huge hit.

If you ask my daughter what her favorite part was, she’d tell you it was the noise makers, or whatever they are called since they don’t make much noise anymore. They are my favorite because they don’t make much noise. But growing up I never had a themed party except for the cake that my mom would make me, so I really enjoy throwing these kinds of parties for the kids.

Here is the cake with the 3 princess’s.  I was so glad they still had it!  And one princess lit up, but you can’t tell from the picture.  She was very pleased with her cake.

How can you make this a frugal party? That’s a good question since these things are normally quite expensive. I have a few ideas………….

  1. Sign up for store emails. Occasionally some end out coupons for dollars off your purchase.  If you have the extra money, buy just enough to use that coupon, and put it aside until you need it.
  2. Look for items at yard sales. Not used of course, but lots of people buy way more than they need and they may have full packages left over afterwards.
  3. Check eBay. Again another great source for those that over buy.
  4. Ask a friend. They may have some left over from their party.  It’s worth a try.

But if you do have a local iParty, I suggest you sign up for their emails and mailing list.  They have a coupon club, that’s the kind of club everyone likes, right?!  I get coupons all the time from them.  If you going to splurge you can still use a coupon!
