My Thoughts: I truly believe that LeapFrog has helped my kids learn to spell, read, write and even do math. It’s amazing the things they’ve learned playing with LeapFrog products. The My Own Story Time Pad is right up there with great toys that teach kids things – in my book. Just another way to make it fun for them while they are learning.
The My Own Story Time Pad is one that you can personalize for your little one to help them learn things about themselves as well, including how to spell their names! That’s something they need to know when they go to Kindergarten, or even preshool so it’s nice to help them get a head start beforehand. I know that is what mom and dad are for but it’s not always easy for mom and dad to do these things, perhaps due to time because they both work, or perhaps the kids don’t want to ‘learn’ from mom and dad. Toys like this make learning fun and I’m all for it.
My Own Story Time pad is like a tablet for a 2-3 year old. They don’t need anything more than this, and it’s priced just right! They can listen to a story that you create, which is really cool and they can play with the characters Scout, Eli, Penny, and Violet by pressing buttons. The buttons are easy to press so little fingers won’t have any troubles at all. You can make music using the letter buttons and even write pretend emails. Great ways for the little ones to mimic what you are doing.
And the best part of all is it’s lightweight and easy for little ones to handle. It’s a great gift to add to your holiday gift list for sure!
