I was so excited to be invited to the Lands' End Back To School event while attending BlogHer in NYC last week. I love Lands' Ends styles, especially for back to school and fall time so I was looking forward to attending the event and seeing what they had planned for us. The event was hosted by Lands End and Momtrends and it began with a School Bus ride from the hotel to EZ Studios in NYC. It's August in NYC so you know it's HOT but the bus ride was very hard because there is no a/c on school buses. I feel really bad for the kids that have to take them after that ride! But it was short and over before we knew it. We were given report cards and we needed to visit different stations to...

BlogHer 10 Recap – Day 2
If you missed it, be sure to read my BlogHer Day 1 Recap first! We were extremely busy on Thursday and Friday was no different! But I was excited for what the day had in store for me. I was so happy to be there. I want to mention again that I was fortunate enough to have two great sponsors for my trip. Lane Bryant gave me a gift card to buy an outfit, which I turned into a few outfits with my thrifty shopping and Cook’s Ham sponsored my entire trip! I’m very grateful to both of them! Day 2 – Friday August 6th I was happy to be able to sleep a little bit on Friday (unlike Saturday but you'll hear about that next time) and I was refreshed and ready to start the day. Last year I was a...
BlogHer 10 Recap – Day 1
Last summer I began hearing buzz about BlogHer and wasn't quite sure what it was all about. By the time it came around in August I learned a lot and I had wished I was there. That was when I decided that I was going to attend BlogHer10 for sure this year. Well I did... and now its over and I'm sad it went by so fast. So now I'm planning for BlogHer11 which will be in San Diego in 2011, which is one of my favorite places in the entire world!! I was fortunate enough to have two great sponsors for my trip. Lane Bryant gave me a gift card to buy an outfit, which I turned into a few outfits with my thrifty shopping and Cook's Ham sponsored my entire trip! I'm very grateful to both of...
Leaving for New Youk City to attend BlogHer today!!
I am heading to New York City this afternoon for BlogHer. It officially begins on Friday and ends on Saturday but there are lots of parties happening Thursday and Sunday so I will be there for 4 1/2 days!! I'm so excited to meet all my blogging friends and all the PR people I've worked with and to also meet some new people. I have a full schedule and will probably not be able to blog much over the next few days but I do have some great guest posts lined up for you and the deals will be up this weekend. If you are going to be there make sure you say hi!
BlogHer Sponsor: Cook’s Ham
For those of you that have been reading my blog for a while now, you know I've done a few giveaways for a Cook's Ham and they've been extremely popular. Well I'm excited to say that you will be seeing more Cook's Ham giveaways in the comming months because they have generously offered to sponsor my trip to BlogHer 2010 in New York City this week!!! I'm over the top excited and so grateful to them. If you are going to BlogHer be sure to stop me and say hi. I will have some fun swag from Cook's Ham as well. For those of you that are not going to be there keep your eye out for some fun Cook's Ham giveaways each month through the end of the year. What I love about ham (besides how good it...
BlogHer Sponsor: Lane Bryant
I'm so excited.... BlogHer is just 3 more days away and this will be my first blogging conference. When I heard it was in New York City I told my husband I had to go since there was no plane ticket involved which would save a LOT of money. (I was gonna go anyways lol). Immediately I began searching for a Sponsor. I not only wanted to be there to represent my blog but also a brand. As the conference got closer I didn't give up. Guess what? I not only found one sponsor but TWO sponsors!! Lane Bryant sent me a gift card to buy an outfit to wear while at BlogHer. Being the savvy shopper that I am (and with the help of coupons) I was able to turn it into 3 outfits!!! Yup you read...
Eat & Greet hosted by General Mills
(warning this is a long post) General Mills ROCKS!! I think I said that last week when I briefly spoke of my trip. But they really do. I'm back from my 36 hour trip to MN to attend General Mills first ever blogger eat & greet and let me tell you we did eat and we did greet!! Lots of both. First I want to say that the people at General Mills are some of the nicest, down to earth people I've ever met. They made us all feel so comfortable and they really did want to hear what we thought about their products. It seems like a great company to work for and everyone I talked to really enjoyed their job. My trip didn't get off to a great start. After leaving Providence I had a connecting...
