Soft, Comfortable Rambler’s Wool, Made in the USA!

It's getting cold here in Rhode Island, I'm thinking we might have seen the last of the warm days for the season. I'm ok with that because even though I do like the warm weather, I'm ready for it to cool down by this time of the year. Enough of the heat, enough of the summer activities, enough of walking around barefoot! I'm ready to put on my jacket in the morning while waiting with my daughter for the bus and some nice warm socks while hanging out watching TV in the evenings. When I think of wool, I think of something warm yet scratchy. It's just what I believe it feels like. After discovering Rambler's Way Wool I realize I am completely wrong!  While looking over the site it, the cloths...

PARENTS: Save Big with Cloth Diapers

Guest Post by Christina Robertson Parents, did you know that you will spend over $2000 on disposable diapers per baby? If that money was invested carefully for 18 years, it could pay for your child's college tuition. Cloth diapers have exploded on the baby scene in the past decade. Modern cloth diapers are not like the ones that your grandparents used. Once you get the knack of it, they are as easy to use as regular disposable diapers. A cloth diapering system requires an initial start up cost, which can be as low as $200, which is less than 10% of what you would spend on disposable diapers. The diapers can even be used as rags after your baby is potty trained. For parents that are halted...

Saving Money with Zenni Optical

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Zenni Optical. All opinions are 100% mine. I will do anything to avoid paying full price.  It doesn't matter what I am buying, I rarely buy it the first place I find it and without some kind of research.  It's like second nature for me now.  I will wait for a sale, look for coupons and even check around at various stores to see where I can save even more.  Sometimes all that work pays off and I'm extremely proud when I score a GREAT deal.  And I usually tell everyone I know about it! (I'm sure my friends and family are tired of hearing about my scores!) My husband and I were just discussing the other day that I need to consider making an...

Guest Post: Saving Energy = Saving Money

This is a guest post from a good friend of mine from high school Bob Black, who I recently reconnected with.  He is a Realtor in Rhode Island and  I asked him if he could share a few tips on how to save money as a home owner. As a Realtor, I am often asked for money saving tips for home owners. I do have lots of tips, and enjoy sharing them. If you’re selling your home and want to get the most “bang for your buck” I can tell you how to spruce your home up a bit before putting it on the market without spending a lot of cash. If you’re a buyer and need tips on how to make a home your own without breaking the bank, I can point you in the right direction there, as well. One of my favorite and...
