If you are a crafter and you don’t know how handy the Xyron is then you are missing out on something.  I’ve been scrapbooking for years and this has been a constant tool in my stash because it’s so useful.  And with kids and their school projects, it’s come in handy at times.  Xyron is a machine that will turn something into a sticker, magnet and can even laminate things.  So if you like to keep clippings from the newspaper, this is also perfect for you.

There are two different sizes that you’ll want to consider – The Little Sticker Maker which can only make stickers and the Creative Station which can do stickers, magnets and laminate.   And the cartridges come in and out very easily to make it simple to change between one and the other.

The Little Sticker Maker is 3 inches wide and 20 feet long.  This will make stickers up to 3 inches wide and is 20 feet long so you can make a lot of stickers with it!

The Creative Station is for items up to 5 inches.  But this also has different cartridges which make not only stickers that are either permanent or re-positionable,  but one cartridge laminates and another one will turn things in to magnets.  You can easily change out from one cartridge to the other for all your different projects.

The Re-positionable Adhesive Cartridge is 18 ft long, the Magnet Cartridge is 7 feet long, the Laminate cartridge is 18 feet long.  They also make a permanent Adhesive Laminate which is really cool.

What can you do with these?  If you are a crafter and/or have children, you can do a lot with these.   It’s a great tool to have for Scrapbooking and Card Making and perfect for use with School Projects and Home Decor Projects.

The magnetic cartridge is great if you have a business to make business card magnets or turn pictures into magnets for the grandparents!  Since it’s 5 inches wide, you can easily turn even a 4×6 and 5×7 picture into a magnetic.  Also great for school work that is small enough to fit in the machine.

The Laminate cartridge is perfect to laminate recipe cards so you don’t have to worry about getting stuff on them while you cook or bake.  I’m really good for doing that so I’m going to laminate more of my favorite recipe cards – the ones I use most.  It’s also good for souvenirs, maps and any kind of memorabilia you may want to preserve.  I’m sure you can probably think of a bunch of things to use this for.

We recently had a Disney party and with the party kit we receives a Disney Bingo kit.  I laminated the calling cards so when we play over and over (which I know we will do) the calling cards won’t rip, tear or wear down.  We have a few home made Bingo sets we made with stickers and such so I’m going to laminate them as well.  They’ll last a lot longer, especially with having kids with sticky fingers!
