CVS is my go to place when we need something that isn’t food.  Even if the item isn’t on sale and I don’t have a coupon, I’ll purchase it at CVS.  It’s not just because there is one at the end of my road because I haven’t always lived that close to one, but it’s always been the store of my choice over the other two drug stores.  I like the store brand products, I like the layout of the store, I like the employees and I especially like the deals they have!

I mentioned above that even if the item isn’t on sale and I don’t have a coupon, I will still go there for what I need. One of the reasons is because I do like their CVS Brand products and they are always a good value over the brand name.  I received a basket like the one pictured above with some personal care products for my family to use and enjoy.  They are some tried and true products and some recently launched items.  The basket included Total Moisture Lotion, Soft Soap Liquid Hand Soap in Fresh Citrus and Crisp Clean, Heavy Duty Fabric Anti-Bacterial Bandages, Cinnamon Honey Gold Emblem Almonds, Cleansing and makeup remover and Gentle Skin Cleanser.

The first thing I grabbed were the cleansing & make up remover cloths.  I love these and use them whenever I have face makeup on.  I don’t use them to remove my eye make up and not because you can’t but I prefer another brand to remove my mascara, but these I use on the rest of my face.  They are pre-moisten and I’ve never had a problem with them drying out in the package and they leave my face feeling fresh and soft.

The girls grabbed the Soft Soap and picked one for each of the sinks in our upstairs bathroom.  The fought over the Fresh Citrus because it does smell really good.  We love Soft Soap and it’s one of the brands we regularly purchase, on sale at CVS of course! (at least most of the time!)  The Heavy Duty Bandaids I love because I don’t have to worry about having some first aid ointment as well since they are anti-bacterial bandages.  So I keep a couple of those in my purse and car for when we are out.  We use a lot of bandages.  And the fabric ones are great because they move with your body and my kids usually keep those on longer.

My husband took the Total Moisture Lotion to work to keep in his desk when needed.  He really likes it and says it works well.  It reminds me of a brand my dad used when we were growing up and I think he still does.  I need to tell him about the CVS Brand because it’ll save him a few dollars!  The Almonds we all enjoyed and especially my oldest girl who doesn’t normally like Almonds.  But with the Cinnamon and Honey, they were delicious!  I crushed a few and put it on top of ice cream for them – YUM!

I highly recommend any of the items in the basket and suggest you compare the price with the national brand if you are on a budget, or even if you aren’t.  It’ll keep a few dollars in your pocket – who doesn’t like that?
