If you are on Weight Watchers Online and you have a Droid phone I highly recommend downloading the PointsPlus Calculator App. It’s by Weight Watchers International, Inc., it’s FREE to download and it’s one of the handiest tools ever!
I joined Weight Watchers almost 2 weeks ago and they didn’t have the calculators available to purchase at the meetings because they ran out.. everywhere! They were more popular than they expected when they switched to the new points plus program. So I looked on my phone to see if there was an app that I could use, since there’s an app for just about everything else! And there was. All this app does is calculate your points and it will connect you online to your account. But it’s perfect for when I’m shopping. As I find things I’d like to purchase I just grab my phone to see how many points it is. This way I know if it’s something that I can eat or snack on. It really has become a very handy tool.
I joined Weight Watchers online so that I could track everything online. While there is a calculator I can access online, this is just handy to have when I’m not at my computer.
I just finished my second week and I’m down 6.4lbs!! I’m so excited that I’m off to a good start and I’m finding the new program fairly easy to follow.
Are you on Weight Watchers? Did you want to join me on my journey to getting healthier? I’d love to hear how everyone is doing… the good and the bad because lets face it we all have bad weeks. But if you are and you own a Droid check out the app! I bet you’ll find it just as handy as I do!
Disclosure: Weight Watchers did not compensate me for this post. However you will find an affiliate link within the post. But these words are my own and have not been influenced by anyone. People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
Good for you! I started ww a few weeks ago too and am down 8lbs as of my third weigh in! I don’t have one of those cool app phones, so i was stuck looking points up online when i got home which stunk! Luckily I got a calculator at my last meeting and it’s been great! I found a website with fantastic recipes that has all ww points listed so that’s been my savior as i found a lot of the ww recipes were not so fantastic! I try to make at least one new thing a week and portion it out into containers and freeze it if i can with the points written on the top. I’m looking into buying little serving size portions of peanut butter as eating way too much of that seems to be my downfall. Do you have any good tips to share?
kelly that is awesome!! keep up the good work. I try to keep a snack in my purse so when I have an urge to stop for coffee, I don’t buy a donut too! it’s really helped the past couple of weeks.
My husband and I got back on Weight Watchers again on January 18th. I’ve lost 20.8 lbs. That’s about 2.3 lbs/week. I had a couple of weeks with a pound or two gain, but I expected those. LOL I get right back on track, though. http://www.skinnytaste.com has some great recipes. I just made the tuna casserole tonight and we liked it.
As for peanut butter, I love it but it’s so high in points. I recently ordered some PB2 that others suggested on WW. I haven’t tried it yet, though.
My husband goes to meetings at work so he was able to pick up a calculator. We don’t have any fancy smartphones at this time but if we ever do I’ll surely get that app!
Lori awesome work! 2.3lbs a week is nice! I’ve heard the the PB2 is really good! I want to get some to add to the chocolate shake! Keep me posted on how you and your husband are doing. I’d love to hear about your journey. And I’m going to check out skinnytaste.com, thanks!
