“NYC inventor solves shower curtain cling once and for all”

We’ve all been there at least once.  Your taking a shower and all of a sudden the curtain is clinging to your wet soapy body!  I’m sorry but even in my own house that totally grosses me out!!!  In our last house we had one of those curved shower curtain rods which solved this problem perfectly.  The only thing is it curved out just a bit too much so whenever we opened the door (which was right next to it) it would bang into the rod.  It was pretty irritating but we dealt with it so we didn’t have to deal with the curtain clinging to us!

Now how that rod got up there in the first place was a pure miracle.  My husband isn’t handy and doesn’t really like to do DIY projects.  We received the rod from our aunt and uncle for Christmas.  But the best part was my uncle offered to help my husband put it up so he had to do it now!  So the next day they installed it and I was so pleased because otherwise it would have never been installed.

It’s Okay that my husband isn’t handy and into DIY projects.  I knew before I married him.

Now in this {newer to us} house, we don’t have a curved shower rod and we aren’t going to get one anytime soon.  So I’ve been dealing with the clingy shower curtain for a year and a half, when I use that shower (we have two so I can escape it at times!).

I’m happy to hear that the wait may not be much longer.  A New York City inventor named Patrick Raymond is trying to solve that problem and make it easy for those of you that are non DIYer’s and has created Curvit.  Instead of the shower curtain curving out, the rings do.  Thus keeping the shower curtain away from you!

I love the idea of this and I think it’ll work great.  I haven’t tried it yet as they are still trying to raise funds to go into production but I do hope they do as this is a great idea and so simple for anyone to install.  It’s as easy as hanging a shower curtain hook and we’ve all done that!

50 percent more space

Curvit is the amazing space-creating shower curtain ring. It curves the curtain, not the rod. Enjoy up to 50% more space. No tools. No mess. No kidding!

installs in a snap

Curvit has patent-pending rings and “tails” that safely create a soft natural tension to gently curve the curtain away from you. Ta-da! No more curtain cling. The shiny steel rings curve in above your head while shiny clean plastic tails curve out at elbow level. Curvit magically transforms your shower curtain into the shape of an umbrella turned sideways.

Research confirms that 36% of the 125 million US shower curtain owners suffer from “curtain cling”. That’s no way to start your day. And curved rods are expensive, bulky and require an engineering degree to install.
