These new Fall designs are the first to emerge from SCOTTIES multi-year, exclusive agreement with the global fashion and home décor giant. With consumer awareness levels of the Laura Ashley brand of 88% (2009 Zoomerang Brand Survey), SCOTTIES is offering consumers a unique opportunity based on extensive research. “We’re combining our Ultra Premium Tissue with the distinctive look of a well known global design leader to offer consumers a product that is like no other in its category,” says Richards.

With a successful launch of the Laura Ashley Collection at Target, SCOTTIES will expand the design portfolio in 2012, with plans for retail expansion across the United States.”

My Thoughts: To some people a tissue box is just a tissue box but to others it’s not and I totally respect that.  If you’ve spent time and money designing a room, then you may not want to toss a box of tissue in there that’s plain ole’ green or brown, would you?  I wouldn’t, however I don’t have that many rooms in my house that are designed in a way that things like tissue boxes won’t fit, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want a nicely designed box of tissues in it either.

I’m a very simple designer and don’t have many patterns or fancy things in my house, instead I like to have small accents here and there that make a room look a bit fancier, without breaking the bank.  So the Laura Ashley tissue boxes are just the thing for that.  Put a nice maroon box with a cute flower pattern on top of the dresser in your bedroom, and it will make it look a lot nicer than a grey box.  Or you could add the the cream box with the pretty flowers on the back of the toilet and put a little color in the bathroom.  Just simple little things to brighten up an otherwise boring room, is what I like.

So needless to say I love the idea of the Laura Ashley Collection tissue boxes and I will add more to my house when I need to purchase more tissues.  They are sold exclusively at Target and hopefully they will roll out more pattern’s soon.  What would be even cooler is if you have one of the patterns already in your home, then you could match the box to it!  Maybe that might be a bit too much for some, but not me!

Scotties tissues on the other hand are a great product to find inside these boxes.  They are unscented, which is good for some people with sensitive noses (like my parents) and soft.  They are also Hypoallergenic and are made without the use of inks or dyes.  But the thing I love about Scottie is that for every one tree they use to make their tissues, they plant three more!  Isn’t that awesome?  I love companies that care like that.
