I’m confused… Bbq is on sale for $2.50… coupon is worth $1.00… wouldnt that be $1.50 ea?

I don’t mean to sound like a smart butt here, but is my math wrong?! If something costs $2.50, and you subtract the coupon that’s worth $1- then doesn’t that leave you at $1.50?! Maybe I’m just sleep deprived?!
It’s a 2 pack that is priced at $2.50 so yes you pay $1.50 but it comes out to $.75 each. We forgot to note that in the post so I updated it. Sorry about that!
