Next week I’ll be in Los Angeles at the MILLION DOLLAR ARM movie premiere with 24 other bloggers and a lot of other people – some famous people too! Last night they gave us a list of confirmed guests that will be there and I’m very excited about a lot of them. And I’ll admit, some I don’t know who they are.
Attending the premiere from the Film are…
- Jon Hamm
- Aasif Mandvi
- Bill Paxton
- Alan Arkin
- Suraj Sharma
- Madhur Mittal
- Lake Bell
- Pitobash Tripathy
- Bar Paly
- Craig Gillespie (director)
- Mark Ciardi
- Gordon Gray
- Joe Roth (producers)
- Palak Patel
- Kevin Halloran
- Bill Simmons
- Connor Schell (executive producers)
And there will be a lot of other Special Guests there as well and this is where I have no idea who a lot of them are but I’m going to figure it out before I get there. I hear a lot of these people are from baseball which would make sense since this is a movie about baseball.
Dave Winfield, Steve Garvey, Rollie Fingers, David Wells, Don Newcombe, Clyde Wright, Jarrett Wright, Mark Kotsay, Harry Hamlin, Jay Roach, Barry Sanders, Micky Dolenz, Joe Truglio, Beth Dover, John Slattery, Kiernan Shipka, Vincent Kartheiser, Roberto Benabib, Ash Vasudevan, Darshan Jariwala, Dinesh Patel, JB Bernstein, Rinku Singh, Tom House, Will Chang.
I do know who Harry Hamlin is and I’m so hoping to ‘bump’ into him!!
The movie premiere event is more than just seeing the movie. There is a lot of stuff going on before hand and that’s what I’m more excited about. Don’t get me wrong, I want to see the movie too but the before show is going to be great. ESPN’s Baseball Tonight will broadcast live from the green carpet with host Karl Ravech, ESPN analyst and Baseball Hall of Famer Barry Larkin and ESPN MLB Insider Tim Kurkjian beginning at 10 p.m. ET. Now I don’t know any of them either but my husband does and he’s going to watch it along at home knowing I’m there!
Also, the final nine contestants from the Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest will compete for a chance to win $1 million. The nine finalists are
- James Brunswick, New York, N.Y.
- Joshua Dahl, Glendale, Ariz.
- Collin Franklin, Simi Valley, Calif.
- Christopher Frederique, Yonkers, N.Y.
- Blaine Jones, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.
- Jason Martyn, La Verne, Calif.
- Brandon Otto, Kissimmee, Fla.
- Jose Rodriguez, New York, N.Y.
- Zackery Watson, Gotha, Fla.
In addition to the chance to win $1 million, all nine of the finalists will win a $500 gift package from Rawlings, a gift package from Under Armour and tickets to the ESPY Awards. A swag bag is always fun to get!
SUBWAY® Restaurants sponsored the Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest and the world premiere. So as part of the “pre-game” festivities, SUBWAY® will be providing sandwiches for guests. That’s me!!! We LOVE subway but I know from the last time I attended a premiere, I probably will be too excited to eat.
Besides Subway, we’ll be enjoying Krispy Kreme, Pinks Hot Dogs, Dole Squish’Ems, Coca-Cola, KIND bars and Wonderful Pistachios. Love them all!!! Except I have no idea what Pinks Hot Dogs are, but I’ll find out.
I’m so excited for this trip and I’m counting down the days. I just wish my husband could attend with me but someone has to stay home with the kids. Be sure to follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with #MillionDollarArmEvent, #ABCTVEvent and #StarWarsRebelsEvent!!!
Y’all deserve this, you bloggers are the best so I am happy you get to attend. Picture, Pictures and more pictures…Please!
How exciting! I can’t wait to hear all about it!
