I’m so excited to share with you that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger and I’ll be following the Nutrisystem program and sharing my weekly progress right here on the blog.
I just completed my 4th week on Nutrisystem and I lost an additional 2.7 lbs for a total of 15 lbs so far.
The day I started Nutrisystem (4 weeks ago) I had to purchase an outfit to wear to my daughter’s 1st communion. I wanted a pair of pants rather than a dress for two reasons. I still had the boot on my foot (from my stress fracture) and I didn’t want to wear a dress as the boot would stick out like a sore thumb and I would feel very uncomfortable knowing that. And also I just don’t feel comfortable in dresses, never have and probably never will. So I set out to buy a pants suit or outfit that would be appropriate and fit me at that point. I knew I’d be losing weight and whatever I bought eventually would be too big on me but I really needed something and I had 6 days left to find it. I also had two 1st communions for our friend’s kids the following two weekends so I figured I could get 3 uses out of this one outfit and wear it 3 weeks in a row.
I found a cute pair of grey slacks and a nice floral top with pink flowers. I loved it and it was my style. The pants were a bit snug but the parts that were snug were hidden by the top and I didn’t want to get the size bigger because I knew I’d be losing weight. My cousin was shopping with me and she agreed that the ‘snug’ parts didn’t show so I bought them.
For my daughter’s special day, I felt very comfortable in the outfit and by then I had dropped a lot of water weight (almost 8 lbs!) so the pants fit even better than they had 6 days before. That made me very happy and proved to me that Nutrisystem really does work. Even my cousin who had shopped with me noticed they fit me slightly better than the day I tried them on. The following weekend I wore them again and they fit a little better since I had dropped about another 2 lbs. And then last weekend I put them on for the 3rd time and the were big!!!! I can not tell you how happy I was to see that they were actually big. I wore them anyways because they looked fine but it made me so happy to know they were no longer ‘a little snug’ and now ‘a little big’. For anyone who’s ever struggled with weight, whether it’s a little or a lot, you know exactly how I felt.
Every picture I have of me from these events, I’m (hiding) behind my children so you can not see the bottom half of me. I should have planned better and had someone take a picture of me each week. I need to not avoid the camera so much but once I feel better about myself I will.
I received my second month of food this past week and I was very excited because some of my favorite items were back – double chocolate muffin, blueberry muffin, cheesy homestyle potatoes, chicken Parmesan pasta, three cheese chicken, beef & wedge potatoes, meat loaf & mashed potatoes, chocolate cake, fudge brownie, peanut butter cookie, and thin mint crisp bar. Yes those are the foods that I’m eating which is why this is working so well for me.
I still have a long road ahead of me, and anyone who wants to join me can check in each Monday as I post my results.
Week 1 – 8.8 lbs
Week 2 – 2.5 lbs
Week 3 – 1 lb
Week 4 – 2.7 lbs
Total Weight Loss – 15 lbs

Great Job My Friend!!!
Thank you!!
Great job!!!! You are strong and determined….I commend you for sticking with it. Just one thought as this happened to me in week 5…If you do happen to slip, don’t beat yourself up. It is just one day. Remember, tomorrow is always another day and you can start the day fresh and new and continue the program. Good luck and thank you for being a positive role model for your girls
Thanks Jan! I have been dying for a glass of wine but I’ve been telling myself to wait for a special occasion. Well I turn 40 next Monday and my husband is throwing me a party the weekend after. I told him today that I will have 1 glass of wine and 1 piece of cake at my Birthday party. I figure if I’m good until then, I can do it for one day. That’s how we have to live life right?
