I’m so excited to share with you that I am a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger and I’ll be following the Nutrisystem program and sharing my weekly progress right here on the blog.
I just completed my 7th week on Nutrisystem and I lost an additional 2.6 lbs for a total of 20.1 lbs so far.
This week I stayed on plan exactly and we didn’t eat out at all. Before I started Nutrisystem I jumped at the opportunity to eat out. That meant not only did I not have to cook dinner for everyone, but I’d also get a real yummy meal. That yummy meal of course was also high in calories. I stress over eating out and seriously it’s easier to just eat at home then to go out. My family is pretty simple to cook for, I’m the one who likes more of a variety. Now that I have these yummy Nutrisystem meals for me, I don’t need to leave the house for the variety.
I think a lot of people think that Nutrisystem is only the meals they send you. I actually wasn’t sure of this before I started either so I thought I’d share with you my menu on a typical day along with a few variations. The first few weeks I really had to think a lot about what I was going to eat, which can be stressful but not so much anymore. After 7 weeks it’s more natural.
And seriously I am NEVER hungry. I tend to eat every 2-3 hours and as long as I stick to that then I don’t get hungry. I even have to remind myself to eat at times. Now I can switch this up a bit if I want. For example if I notice by the afternoon I’m not drinking as much water as I should be drinking then I’ll have my Dessert entree for my afternoon snack and have something with chocolate in it because that will get me to drink about 16 ounce of water along with it. Or if I want to have two pieces of toast with my breakfast then I won’t have the afternoon snack of a smart carb and use that one with my breakfast. But most days I stick to the 6 meals a day.
I also don’t use cream in my coffee anymore. I developed a love for black coffee (with one equal) so that has been a nice way to cut out some normal calories. Otherwise I would have to add that into my calorie intake every single day and when you have 3-4 cups of coffee a day, it adds up quickly. I’d rather eat my calories then drink them. Black coffee is essentially calorie-free with only 10 calories. So 3-4 cups of coffee (the most I’ll have, not an everyday thing) doesn’t really add up to much.
So that is a typical day of what I eat so I’m pretty satisfied at times. I don’t have a lot of cravings anymore because I don’t eat any white sugar/flour for the post part and that’s what causes my cravings.
I still have a long way to go and I’m going to keep on going!

I have been thinking of Nutrisystem as a way to lose weight. I was afraid the food would be awful but by what you are saying it is pretty good and varied. Thank you for the information.
Yes Maria. There have only been a few products I haven’t like but it was more because it was made with ingredients I don’t normally like anyways. But the overall flavor on a lot of them is really good. My mom makes homemade pizza every Friday so one week we went and I brought my Nutrisystem Pizza and she ‘felt bad for me’ I told her it was fine because I really like the pizza so I don’t mind. I’ll have her’s again someday.
Congratulations on your weight loss! My husband and myself are trying to loose weight. I keep forgettting to drink my 8 glasses of water a day so I started filling up a jug of water and putting it into the refrigerator and throughout the day I would drink from it and then when the jug was empty I knew I had gotten all of my water in for that day.
Thank you Susan!!! That is such a good idea so you know what you still need to drink. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Let me know how you are doing.
