Did you know that you can pick up FUN Hair Accessories at CVS/Pharmacy?

Back in September I had the chance, once again, to visit the CVS headquarters in Woonsocket Rhode Island.  This is a nice trip for me not only because I love the CVS company and people who work for them, but it’s also in my home state so travel for me is pretty easy.     This was the 3rd time I attended this blogger meet up at CVS and it’s always nice to be a part of this.

While we were there they gave us a sneak peek at some great products that you’ll find on the shelves at CVS/Pharmacy, including some new items for 2014.  I know it’s a little late but I have some items I want to share with you that we not only got a sneak peek of, but we also got to take them home!   All of these items you’ll find in stores now.

CVS/Pharmacy isn’t just a place to pick up your prescriptions and over the counter meds.  It’s also a great place to get hair care products and accessories!  With 2 girls and myself with long hair, we go through a lot of hair accessories.  And my girls LOVE to put bling in their hair too.   So I was really happy to receive these products for us to play around with at home!

Have you ever tried the Turbie Twist?  I’ve been hearing about this for years but never tried it until now and it really works great!  There are some mornings where I don’t have a lot of time to take a shower but I have to wash my hair.  If I don’t have a lot of time for the shower then that also means that I’m limited on time to dry my hair!  I toss this on and then get the girls ready for school.  Before we leave I finish drying it with the hair dryer.  By the time I get to this point it’s almost dry from being in the Turbie Twist!  It’s a huge time saver in the mornings.

And for those mornings I only have time for a shower and can’t take the tie to wash my hair then I use the fun animal print shower cap.  This is really nice because not only is the print cute but the material is really nice and it dries well.  I  hang it on the bathroom facet to dry and it’s dry by the end of the day.  It’s probably dry sooner than that but I don’t check it until the day is almost over.  It’s important that you hang it to dry so it won’t get dirty and stinky.   They come in a few different patterns so get something fun!  Why not, right?

We use bobby pins all the time – especially for dance class (not for me for my 9 year old).  So this Conair value pack is great with 130 bobby pins, and they come in colors too so when the girls want to be colorful they can.  Something like this just makes my morning easier because the little things, like the color of the bobby pin, make them happy.  Whatever it takes, right?

The Vidal Sassoon carbon + keratin thermal round brush is really cool because that combination is supposed to make your hair looks straight longer!  I use this when I dry my hair from being soaking wet and I’m  not sure if it’s made a difference yet because in the winter my hair tends to be straighter.  But when the warmer weather starts to come around, that will be the test because then my hair wants to either get a wave or curl up.

I am a big fan already fo the scunci no slip grip hair clips.  And these are really big so they are great for my hair, not for the girls.  I’m Okay with that since I don’t seem to have much of my own stuff as they follow the rule of ‘what’s mommy’s is theirs too”.  LOL  But these clips work great and stay in nicely thanks to the ‘grips’ that are inside the clip.  But don’t worry they don’t show once they are in your hair.

We haven’t tried the Bling String or Clip-n-Crystals but my girls are dying too.  I told them we’ll find an occasion to wear them and they are excited about that.  But they seem pretty simple to use as they just clip in under your hair and boom – bling!

So make sure you stop by the hair accessories aisle at CVS/Pharmacy to see what they have.  This is only a small sampling of what they carry!

Disclosure: I received a Free product for review. My opinions are 100% mine.
