This was the first we heard of Play-Doh plus so we were excited to try it out.   We didn’t find it too different and not sure I would have noticed it right away when I touched it but it was a little easier to mold and had a softer appearance.  The girls loved it just as much but my oldest didn’t think the frosting looked more realistic.  She said she could still tell it was Play-doh.  LOL
