Last week I told you that I was going to start tracking my coupon savings each week and report back to show you how much you can save over time using coupons. I didn’t do very much shopping last week as we didn’t need much, and what we did need I either didn’t have coupons for or my husband went shopping and didn’t take coupons with him.
- I shopped at Walgreens and used 3 coupons – 1 store coupon and 2 manufacturer coupons for a total savings of $3.50.
- I shopped at Walmart and used 6 coupons – all manufacturer coupons for a total savings of $7.00.
February 2012 Coupon Savings – $10.50
I really wish I had kept all my receipts for January but I’m trying to locate as many as I can to see what my savings was in January or at least roughly how much I saved.
So how did you do?? How much did you save JUST with COUPONS – we aren’t even talking sales – just what you save with coupons. Anyone can walk in the store and get a sale price, but I want to show you how much more can be saved with those little pieces of paper.
CVS has recently become awesome about accepting ECB’s that have expired. My local CVS often doesn’t even mention it, thay just override whatever the date says on their computer. Yay for them!! (And Me!!).
However, Walgreens has a long way to go!! I’ve tried to use their rewards program and often the new coupon just doesn’t print out. Several cashiers have told me that you can not use a rewards coupon to pay for your purchases and expect a NEW rewards coupon to print out. It just doesn’t happen. Certainly not the cashiers fault, but shouldn’t we be told about that?
I think that I will just stick with CVS. Those guys are on target and I feel good after leaving CVS with ECB’s without any problems.
Holly if you purchasing a product you just earned a RR from, then NO it will not print out again. But if you are using a RR you earned from Crest to purchase Kellogg’s cereal then if there is another register reward, it should print out. Does that make sense? Talk to the manager or even call cooperate if you continue to have problems getting them to print out.
I was doing so well, but I didn’t make it to RiteAid for a few weeks and accidentally let my Up rewards expire 🙁
Yeah that has happened to me too… just pick right back up and keep going!
