My Thoughts: I’ve become more and more concerned about the enviroment.  Honestly I think it’s partly because of the blog, I’ve been sent so many ‘green’ products to review, that I am almost forced to think about how much better they are for the earth.  That being said, I will admit I love the Scotch Brite Greener Clean Expanding Soft Sponge not only because it’s better for the environment, but down right cool!

The first time I used it I squealed when I ran it under the water because it just popped out!  It was pretty cool and I couldn’t wait to use another one.  It expanded into a full size sponge but didn’t take up the room or the package of one, which was awesome for two reasons; less waste and less room to store!  And it worked just as good as those that don’t expand.

I got many uses out of it before I had to dispose of it and I was very happy with it’s performance.

There are a couple of other sponges that are part of the Scotch-Brite Greener Clean line that I also tried and was very happy with their quality and performances.  They are….

• Scotch-Brite™ Greener Clean Fiber Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge/Scour Pad –  These sponges are made from 100% plant-based fibers and the scrubbing fibers are made from 50% agave plant with  23% recycled materials.  From daily dishes to stuck-on messes, it delivers scrubbing strength without scratching.  The scrub sponge sells for $1.59 for a 1 count package and the scour pad sells for $4.19 for a 2 count package.
• Scotch-Brite™ Greener Clean Absorbent Sponge – These sponges are made with 23% recycled materials and from 100% plant-based fibers.  They are a great alternative to paper towels and outlasts more than 30 rolls.  They are $2.10  for a 2 count pack.
