I love having friends over, especially for the holidays. We moved into a wonderful neighborhood last year and have a lot of neighbors that have become our friends. We get together with some of them often and sometimes just for drinks and munchies. So I like to keep things in the house that I can pull out whenever needed.
When Stop & Shop asked me to try some of their Simply Enjoy line of foods, I was more than happy too because I’ve seen the line in stores before but hadn’t picked up anything yet. We are always open to trying something new and if we can share it with our friends, then that’s even better!
I received a box of some really yummy goodies from the Simply Enjoy line including Pepper Jelly, Sesame Water Crackers, Raspberry Powdered Shortbread Cookies and Hazelnut Coffee.
The Pepper Jelly was delicious alone on crackers but was a little bit too spicy for some people so we then put it over cream cheese and it was delicious, especially on the Sesame Water Crackers. The crackers themselves don’t have a whole lot of flavor but I wouldn’t expect that from a water cracker but they were super crunchy and great with the pepper jelly because that gave you lots of flavor.
The Raspberry Powdered Shortbread cookies were a huge hit with everyone especially my oldest daughter. She loved them the most. They were nice and fresh and had just the right amount of raspberry flavor but yet you can still tell they are a shortbread cookie. Absolutely delicious. I love that they are naturally flavored and not pumped with flavored sugar. They are the perfect size and went along great with the Hazelnut Coffee. I’d actually gift the cookies and coffee to someone because not only are they delicious, but the packaging is very attractive too!
Put together a basket of these items for a hostess gift and you can’t go wrong. And pick some up for your holiday guests.
