I’ve recently become obsessed with Starbucks Iced Coffee.  I never really stopped there much before but one day I grabbed an ice coffee and haven’t been able to stop!  I can now see the fascination with it!!!   So now I’m very interested in hearing the new items that they have.

But it’s more than just coffee at Starbucks.   Recently Starbucks expanded their breakfast sandwich platform with the addition of four new hot breakfast options which are available now at participating Starbucks^® stores nationwide.   Inspired by La Boulange bakery, acquired by Starbucks in 2012, four new breakfast sandwiches are being added to Starbucks menu. All are served warm, and sure to get your day started on the right foot.

Delicious New Breakfast Sandwiches

• New Slow-Roasted Ham & Swiss: Italian-style slow-roasted ham served on a warm, buttery croissant bun with a perfectly cooked egg and melted Swiss cheese.
• New Vegetable & Fontiago: Spinach, flavorful sundried tomatoes and sweet caramelized onions melted together with aged Fontiago cheese served on a warm, multigrain ciabatta bun.
• New Egg & Cheddar: Buttery grilled cheese with melted cheddar atop a perfectly cooked fluffy egg, served on hearty multigrain toast.
• New and improved Reduced Fat Turkey Bacon: Reduced fat turkey bacon, cage-free egg whites and melted reduced-fat white cheddar cheese served warm on an organic wheat English muffin.

I tried the Turkey Bacon sandwich and Ham & Swiss sandwich and they were both amazing!  I would never even guess that the Turkey was reduced fat but I was glad they had that option because I’d prefer something not as fattening and also on a wheat english muffin.  However the buttery croissant that the ham & swiss came on was amazing!  I love croissants especially warm and filled with something delicious.  Starbucks really knows how to make a great croissant. Next I want to try the Egg & Cheddar which is on multigrain toast!

Besides the breakfast sandwiches, they also have the NEW Vanilla Macchiato.  Joining our customer favorite Caramel Macchiato and the new Hazelnut Macchiato, which was added to Starbucks permanent menu last spring (the first new core drink introduced in 16 years!), the Vanilla Macchiato puts a fresh spin on this popular drink. The Vanilla Macchiato features steamed milk “marked” with Starbucks signature, perfectly balanced espresso, and is topped with a drizzle made with a mix of brown sugar, butter, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and slight hints of salt.
