It’s tax time so I know most of you are probably working on getting your stuff together to file, if you haven’t already. Some of you are probably all done (not me!). If your looking to do your own taxes here are a ways you can save on Tax Software if you’d like to do them yourself.
- Save 20% on H&R Block At Home Software with H&R Block at Home Coupons.
- Get Your Federal Refund Fast & Free – TaxACT is Free to Prepare, Print, & Efile Your Federal Return.
- File your simple return for FREE with TurboTax® Federal Free Edition or get 8% cash back from ShopAtHome.com.
Not everyone qualifies for a FREE return but check to see if you do. I’ve used both Turbo Tax and H&R Block at Home Software and I find them both very easy to use and so much cheaper than paying someone. Right now with the Blog our taxes are a bit complicated so I’m having someone do mine this year but once I figure out what I’m doing I’d definitely use TurboTax again. I found it to be super user friendly and I like how it keeps track of your return (or payment yikes!) as you add your information. You can see how certain deductions affect your total.
If you are a blogger make sure you claim everything you’ve made even if you didn’t receive a 1099. Not all companies will send them especially if you didn’t make $600. But you still must claim it!
H&R Block also has the “Best of Both” option- you do your taxes and when you’re ready to submit, they’re reviewed by a tax pro. I’ve done mine this way the past couple years (and I’ve worked with the same lady both times). In my experience at least, the person you work with is from a nearby office. Lots less expensive than paying to have them done completely but still not quite on your own if you need help.
Hey Amy I had no idea they did that! Thanks for sharing. That’s great for those that want to try but are afraid they’ll make too many mistakes! Awesome!!
