When I was a teen I hated buying feminine products. It was embarrassing. I prayed I never saw anyone I knew from school. A friend of mine thought it was funny to act out tampon commercials in the aisles at CVS. She was a bit crazy. But she wasn’t embarrassed, it was a fact of life. Eventually due to her silliness, I got over it too.
The thing was when I was holding a box of pads or tampons, they were extremely easy to identify. Well things have changed, that’s for sure. Have you see the new U by Kotex package? It’s black with bright pinks, yellows, blues and greens. Honestly I think it’s the coolest looking box and with the colors it doesn’t have that stigma attached to it.
Now teens can toss them into their cart and not be embarrassed because no one will really notice what they are! Gee, kids have it so easy now a days. lol
What I love most about U by Kotex though is the colors inside the box. It’s like opening up a party when you open the box. Another thing that I was afraid of when I was a teen, that someone would see them when I opened my purse. Kotex by U is packaged in the same bright colors that are on the box so when they are sitting in your purse, if someone happens to see it, really it just looks like a bright piece of paper with a cute little swirl decoration on it. Perfect!
I have two daughters so we’ll be dealing with this at some point and I hope that products like this make it easier for them when they need to purchase their ‘supplies’.
OK, now the for the deal at CVS. Next week (5/10/10) U by Kotex products are on sale for $4.99 and you’ll also get $4.99 Extra Care Bucks (limit 1). There are several $1.00 coupons out there that will turn this into a money maker. So you can try them for yourself, for FREE! You can also send for a FREE Sample of U by Kotex here. (opps looks like the free sample is gone, but check out the other fun things, like a free App for the iPhone or iPod touch.)
And finally, check out this video. It’s freaking hilarious! It’s a total spoof on Tampon commercials. Funny because I’ve thought them to be a little ridiculous too.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Kotex and received products necessary to facilitate my candid review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
Do you know what the limit on these is for the ECBs?
Limit of 1. I also realized I made a typo. They are $4.99 with $4.99 ECB’s. Still a money maker and FREE!
