I’m still taking submissions for your savings stories! I’d love to hear them!!
Most of you know my coupon story: Our second child had just arrived and we found ourselves in need of a new roof and some car repairs. I found that using coupons helped us pay for those repairs, and eventually other things – like vacations!
I want to hear your story! When and why did you start using coupons? Tell me about a trip to the grocery or drug store where you were just amazed at the amount you saved. Or… have you used coupons to help save money for a specific big ticket event or thing – like a vacation or car? Have you used coupons all your life, having been taught by someone in your family? What does your spouse think of your couponing? How has Koupon Karen helped you to save?
I’m looking forward to hearing your stories! Send me a picture, too! I’ll feature one of you each week. Watch for your name!

I just sent you my story! I hope you enjoy reading it.
I use to use coupons here and there but then I lost my job and couponing became an addiction because I had to save money and live on the low amount of unemployment money. I ended up reading blogs such as yours and joined a coupon class. We all share our good sales that we find. We learned the best thing is try to find things that are 75% off and then have a coupon for it. Never buy unless on sale…and then look for a coupon. I pre plan what I am buying with the sales paper. My best was when first of January at cvs there were so many items that if you bought them you would get the extra bucks right back. I had coupons on everything and had some extra bucks. I ended up with 40 extra bucks so when I went back it was all free. Without the extra bucks my best savings was 97% off the bill. That was just coupons and sale. I have quite the stash right now and going to go little while without buying for now. The other thing this week and I had a 10 dollar extra bucks and had a coupon of 4 off 20 and another 5 extrabucks. They had mp3 players that were 79 99 and marked down to 9.99 so I used that and paid about 2 bucks out of pocket and got 20 extra bucks so 2 mp3 players free!!! yahoo.
