Product Information: Just in time for Halloween, the all-new DVD release WordGirl Tricks & Treats arrives from Scholastic Media, PBS KIDS and Paramount Home Entertainment.  The superhero with the super vocabulary, WordGirl, and her sidekick Captain Huggy Face battle quirky ill-mannered, uniformed villains with her super power… knowledge!  WordGirl Tricks & Treats introduces sixteen new vocabulary words and reinforces their meanings in a variety of fun and interesting ways.  The DVD features eight action-packed adventures, interactive games, coloring pages and resources for parents.

Our thoughts: WordGirl and Captain Huggy Face are very popular in our house and not just with my daughter’s.  I love them too because the girls learn something from every single episode.  I’m amazed at the vocabulary they learn and I love the way WordGirl stops to explain what the word means!  And of course kids are going to listen to her, right?!

We have a WordGirl CD Story we listen to in the car and even though we all know every single word by heart now, they still want to hear it over and over again!

We have been talking about Halloween in the house so it was the perfect time to receive this DVD.  Holly’s liked Tobey’s Tricks & Treats which is about an evil kid that tries to take all the candy but WordGirl and Captain Huggy face are on the case using her superpower knowledge so all is good in their world!

For those of you that are not familiar with WordGirl just pop the DVD into your computer and you’ll find Character Descriptions and WordGirl FAQ’s along with 8 Coloring pages for your kids!  Yeah the girls LOVED those!  OH and some PC/MAC games too.   It’s a fun filled DVD.
