My girls love all sorts of toys, and whenever I get a “boy toy” they go crazy because we don’t normally have those in our house.  This was a fight over who was going to use it first, between them and their father.  I leave all things water related to him (except the pool, I’ll go in that for sure!) so I handed it to him and he fought with them over who was going to use it first and what they’d shoot.   He went for the water!

To load it up with water all you do is put the nose of it under water and pull back the handle.  Since we have a pool outside, that made this very easy to do.  Otherwise I supposed you’d have to fill up a somewhat deep bowl or bucket with water.   Then just push the handle forward to shoot the water.    The harder or faster you push the handle forward, the further the water will go.   My little one didn’t do so well with the water, it was a hard for her to really push the handle to get distance.  But after a few tries she got better.  By the end of the summer she’ll be blasting her sister with lots of water.  This is going to be a fun one for us since the water part is so easy to do with the pool.

To use the Plane, darts or rockets, you just attach them to the nose and then pull back the handle and then push it forward to launch the item.  Again, pretty easy.  And since they are all made out of foam, they don’t hurt when you are hit by them.
